Mr. McGrath was appointed to the Public Service Commission on 7 February 2017.
His expertise is in elections and modern public sector management, strategic planning, staff motivation, change management.
He spent 25 years with the Australian Electoral Commission and has also worked with the United Nations, Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, UN Development Program, Australian Defence Force and the Governments of Tonga and Fiji.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, majoring in Governance from Griffith University and attended the Australian Public Service Commission leadership program.
Lawrence is active in the community through his involvement with Rotary. He has served as Secretary and President of his club and as an Assistant Governor and District Chairman of Membership Development in Rotary District 9670.
